Our Manufacturing Staff

Brian Sorenson, Vice-President of Manufacturing Operations

Brian has over twenty years of experience related to food product and process development, several years each in both private industry and at the Northern Crops Institute in Fargo, ND. He has managed numerous research projects on laboratory and pilot-scale levels focused on transferring new technology to full-scale production. Additionally, Brian has traveled worldwide in educational efforts to promote the purchase and utilization of U.S.-grown grains and seeds.

Brian earned a Master of Science Degree in Cereal Chemistry and Technology in 1989 at North Dakota State University, and previously (1986) received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. Brian’s professional memberships include the Wheat Quality Council (Chair, 2007-2008), American Association of Cereal Chemists (Secretary of the Milling and Baking Division, 2004-2006) and the Association of Operative Millers (Technical Committee). He was also named as an alternate member of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Grain Inspection Advisory Committee in 2007. Brian resides in Fisher, MN with his wife, Cathy, and their three children.
